About Us
The RAPID Program
At the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine, the RAPID (Research and Prevention of Infectious Diseases) Program is dedicated to the study, creation, and delivery of innovative and accessible health care strategies for infectious disease prevention.
Our mission centers on reducing barriers to Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), and rapid entry into care for individuals living with HIV throughout South Florida.
In collaboration with various academic and community partners, we are committed to delivering comprehensive sexual health care and advancing research in infectious disease prevention.

The Mobile PrEP Clinic
The Mobile PrEP Program provides the necessary medical and laboratory testing for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), post-exposure prophylaxis (nPEP), and rapid entry in HIV care. As a highly effective strategy for HIV prevention, patients can receive same-day PrEP prescriptions at one of our multiple mobile unit locations within the Miami Dade county at no cost. We also provide HIV and STI testing, treatment for gonorrhea, chlamydia, and syphilis.
Our community sites include South Beach (outside the Hotel Gaythering), Hialeah, Miami Gardens, Florida City and Liberty City.
The Rapid Access Wellness (RAW) Clinic
The Rapid Access Wellness Clinic is located at Converge Miami, a part of the University of Miami's Medical Complex and medical school campus, that is located in the Allapattah neighborhood of Miami. The clinic provides the same services as Mobile PrEP, using the same judgement-free, barrier-lowering approach.
